Kelly Albuquerque DaRosa is the author of Dear God, Who Am I? and the beloved children’s book Nathan’s Farm Adventures. A proud American with Portuguese roots, Kelly brings a heartfelt blend of faith, culture, and purpose to everything she creates. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, and a resident of Martin County, Florida since 2012, Kelly is a devoted mother of two whose life’s work is rooted in love, resilience, and faith.
Holding a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Connecticut, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Central Connecticut State University, and a Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Dietetics from Keiser University, Kelly bridges her diverse academic background to empower families through faith, nutrition, and mental wellness.
As the visionary founder of Kelita’s Farm A Sea LLC (Kelita’s Farm) and Kelita’s Cork LLC, Kelly’s mission is to cultivate community and connection—especially for mothers and families raising children with special needs. Her farm-based programs, workshops, and women’s groups offer a sanctuary for healing and growth, while her sustainable cork fashion brand, Kelita’s Cork, celebrates natural beauty and eco-friendly living inspired by her Portuguese heritage.
Kelly’s love for sustainable living and agriculture began during childhood visits with her grandparents in Portugal, where she learned the value of simplicity, nature, and hard work. Today, she brings that same heart to her Florida farm—DaRosa Ranch, home to family events, farm-to-table experiences, and her storytelling and children’s initiative, Kelita’s Storytime.
Through her Blooming Together podcast and community events, Kelly continues to inspire others to walk in faith, embrace who God created them to be, and bloom where they are planted. Whether through her books, her farm, or her handcrafted cork accessories, Kelly’s purpose remains the same—to remind every person that faith, family, and nature are the roots of a meaningful life.
